About Nina Carson
I was born in Atlanta and have lived in Georgia all my life. My husband Tom is a ‘transplant’, but has been here long enough to have somewhat of a southern accent! But both of us love Georgia, our weather, people and culture, not to mention the many attractions we have to offer residences and visitors. After you visit Deerfield Cabin, we hope you will love Helen and Georgia too!
Why Nina Carson chose Helen
Our house was built in 1932. My husband stumbled across it in 2003 and had such a vision of what it could be. I, on the other hand, couldn’t quite see what he saw! My husband along with our 3 boys, myself, friends and some actual tradesmen, transformed this small old house into a lovely, homey secluded cabin! We have before and after pictures in the cabin for you to see. It was a lot of work but we are so proud of our ‘old, new cabin in the middle of downtown Helen’
What makes this Cabin unique
We, as a family come and enjoy Helen as much as our guest do. We have a very open floor plan so everyone is accessible all over the house yet privacy in each of the 4 bedrooms. Our kitchen is also open and has a great breakfast bar to gather at. The kitchen is fully equipped and makes cooking fun. Play horse shoes, cornhole or enjoy the large firepit in our yard. Or walk a block and choose one of the many places to shop, eat and drink.
